Interspecies communication: making sense of cows and other animals
Sustainable Seminar with biologist Elodie Mandel-Briefer and artist Elina Birkehag.
Behavioural biologist Elodie Mandel-Briefer will describe the results of a large comparative study investigating the vocal expression of emotions in various domestic and wild ungulates and human perception of these emotions. Artist Elina Birkehag is working with writing and inscription concerning the body, technology and time. Birkehag will talk about two of her recent projects ‘D FOR DAUGHTER’ and ‘FROM COW TO A’ – a book published in 2023 documenting tree carvings made by female shepherds and her ongoing film project that started with the obsession of getting to know a cow.
More detailed information about the event will be published later.
The event is open to all. To be included in our refreshments order, please notify Tilde Rasmussen.
