Reading Group

Centre for Sustainable Futures invite researchers and students at UCPH humanities and other interested parties to join our reading group on Timothy Mitchell’s The Alibi of Capital (2026).

Timothy Mitchell is a political theorist, historian, and author of Carbon Democracy (2011). His new book seeks to conceptualise finance, technology, the economy, and growth as alibis that conceal devastating forms of extraction.
